Who Am I?
I’m Sarah, I am one of the new interns at Dochas Psychological Services. My path here was definitely not linear, but I’ve always had a passion for helping others. I grew up locally on a farm, which has given me a strong connection to the Parkland County community.
Through my own experiences with depression, social anxiety, loneliness, burnout, and ADHD, I’ve discovered the importance of mental health and even just having someone to talk to.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy painting, playing volleyball, video games, and spending time with loved ones
Working With Me
The therapy I offer is grounded in a person-centered and cognitive behavioural approach, incorporating mindfulness techniques to support your healing journey.
I believe you are the experts of your own life, and my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment for us to explore what’s been going on together. At times, I may challenge you, but in a way that remains sensitive to your experience.
I am open to working with everyone, but I have a special passion for working with neurodivergent communities and addressing challenges such as relationship issues, big life transitions, anxiety, stress, or depression.
I also understand that therapy can sometimes be a little like trial and error – if you find that I am not the right fit for you, that’s okay. Remember, you’re writing the story; I’m here to help reflect on the chapters as they unfold.
