Low-Cost and Free Professional Therapy Services
Have you ever felt like there are elite services just for those with insurance or those who are part of the mega-rich? (By the way, have you ever met the mega-rich? I think they’re imaginary). We feel your frustration! That’s why part of our mission at Dóchas has been to provide low-cost therapy options for those who can’t afford the usual fees of a private practice clinic.
But here’s the thing… sometimes, even those “low fees” are too much. So, we are excited to announce Hub for Hope! This Hub enables those who are struggling financially, for whatever reason, to access professional psychological services for NO cost. You’d be paired with one of our phenomenal interns over a series of eight (8) sessions, with the opportunity to apply for an extension of these services if needed.
I can hear some of you already, “You said this was for professional services and elite services, how does being paired with an intern mean that?” Well, first, these interns are amazing. I mean it. But, since you already know I’m biased about them, the reality is they are finishing their Masters programs, meaning they are done all the theory stuff and are ready to launch. Second, this means they have to practice under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist, so it’s like you’re getting two psychologists working with you. How cool is that? And no, the supervisor isn’t always sitting in the room, that would be slightly weird. But, we are available for consultation and we review cases weekly. So still cool!
Anyway, the point is...
we’re here for you!
You are just as important as everyone else and have the right to access. We want to offer that. And, we want to serve our community!
